  1. Watch the entire series of the featured TV shows and decide for yourself whether the episodes in question almost ruined them!
How I Met Your Mother: The Complete Series
The Simpsons Complete Series Collection Seasons 1-17 and Season 20
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Complete Series

    1. I think “the dog” episode is the worst. Especially since it aired when the show was still struggling to make it.

    2. How I Met Your Mother finale left many fans divided however I think the Seinfeld finale was worst. To my memory there was lots more media attention and backlash with the Seinfeld finale.

  2. himym is and always will be my favorite tv show even though i hated the ending. i never liked the whole ted/robin relationship but i chose to just ignore the final episode otherwise my tiny little heart would literally shatter in a million pieces. yes, i’m that invested in a tv show haha

  3. Honestly I don’t understand all of the hate for the HIMYM ending. Sure it wasn’t a happy ending, but life rarely is. ultimately ted ended up going back to robin, but think about it, the narrative all started with ted meeting Robin. that means in the future that is where he decided the story started. He could have wiped all that and went straight to the wedding, or started even earlier with him meeting barney or collage, but he started with Robin. That was what the story was always building towards and it was clear to me from episode one. I prefer the alternate ending but to say the origin ending is bad is just weird to me, because it brings the story full circle and that is what a long form tv is usually supposed to do.

  4. I’m still annoyed by “How I Met Your Mother”. They spent all those years leading up to meeting the mother only to tell us it was a story to ask the kids for permission to date his actual one-true love. BS

  5. Samurai Jack series finale should’ve been an honorable mention I don’t think it really ruined the series but it was really dumb

  6. Am I the only one who liked the end to himym? The ending completely fit the entire theme and tone of the show. They could’ve done the fairytale cliché ending everybody was expecting but didn’t because the show was never that. They always had real life difficult things in the show such as Marshall’s dad dying, Robin not being able to have kids, Marshall and Lilly’s breakup, so I thought the ending fit and was tragically sweet, and I love how it went full circle, which can be argued that they undid any character development that was done but I disagree. Barney and Robin would’ve never worked. it was always meant to be Ted and Robin, it was just bad timing for them because Robin wanted to travel and focus on her career which she did and got it out of her system. The way I see it, Robin was the one for Ted, and Tracy was also His one, and was the one who provided him with the kids he always wanted.
I too didn’t like the ending at first but it grew on me. I only didn’t like the ending because it’s not what I was expecting, but isn’t that a good thing? The best gifts are the ones you didn’t know you wanted.
