  1. I’ve got no problem with lootboxes in general, they can be a lot of fun when they are just treated as an extra you get for playing, it’s only when they are integral to the game or you need to buy them that they become a problem. Or if they have an economy attached, that’s probably the fastest way to encourage cheating.

  2. I feel like pubg isn’t a bad as you guys made it out to be because it was a temporary thing to test out the system for when it comes out of early access. Also, outside of the keys, they don’t get money, it’s more of just a reason to keep playing. You can actually make money off of the game through that system, I earned a bunch of boxes during the gamescom event and now I can sell them for like 8 bucks each. Yeah the drop rates are low, but that’s part of why the market value for a lot of those things are high.

  3. What’s sad is that if they made a good game, They’re gonna get the sales and money they need to more than make profit on it. Adding a loot box system is a nice way to say “Hey, We didn’t really try hard to deliver a great game but are still gonna milk you for every dollar we can get”. It’s even more of an insult when they have a season pass in the mix along with the $60 base game.

  4. Overwatch and League of Legends started this. It’s their fault! But at least, in those 2 you can buy almost everything that boxes give without opening them. If you’re going to copy something, at least copy it right.
